New Work Begun

The start of a new lino, the block will be 36" x 12" and it will be based off a panoramic photo taken when family was in from PA earlier this month. 

Reclaimed wood

This is a board off of a shelf that was in the basement when we bought the house. . . The white splotch of paint at the top is going to get screen printed this week.

Printing

This afternoon I spent an hour or so working in the printmaking studio. First I reclaimed a few screens then pulled a small edition of two color prints on maps. The photo did not turn out. Let's blame the equipment rather than my technique.

Here is a detail from a test print that seems to be getting somewhere.

Bad pano of the studio, had the basement finished last month so now the studio is a real "room" instead of a corner of a larger room. Time to make some images . . .

Managed to do a bit of organizing in the studio over break. Built this little bookshelf on the South wall with some lumber that has been stacked in there for two or more years. . . I am going to try and post more frequently this year. We will see how that goes . . . the new semester starts tomorrow morning at 8am!
