  1. It is really interesting to see the lamp next to the straight staring portrait next to it. Those two create an interesting static structure and repetition within the top portion of the image. The white shape moving from the left to the center of that piece is an interesting juxtaposition to that structure and an effective tool to lead the viewer into the lower portrait. That section works really well to counter balance the imagery above it. The painterly quality of the entire piece really has the whole thing working together affectively.

    The whole thing has my eye moving from visual texture to lush painterly mark making.

    Cool stuff.

    On that banana panel, I really appreciate the larger linear exploration of the form and the shapes within the fruit. It creates an interesting contrast in image treatment and gives evidence to the process of seeing, translating, and ultimately creating. A nod to the method, process and passage of time.
